Pikuniku is a 2D platformer game that features vibrant colors and symplistic shape languages.
Here are an in-depth analysis I conducted on Pikuniku with a focus on its UI/UX design, as well as a pitched mini-map system for the game.
shape languages & style sheet
The shape languages in Pikuniku is repetitive and simplistic, featuring symmetrical and text-centered shapes for most parts (the only exceptions are buttons).

System Re-design Pitch Deck
In the class Fundamentals of User Research and Experience, I was able to put together a pitch deck for the implementation of a Mini Map system in Pikuniku, which is currently absent in the published game. Here is a full preview of the pitch deck in slides format.
This is the final re-designed screen (made in Figma with shapes & text as placeholder) for the in-game Mini map system in Pikuniku.
You can view details of the changes in the pitch deck above.
